PHIUSAbout the Project
The Kerhonkson Passive House is a modest size house of 1,521 sf with an open plan design that maximizes function within a small footprint. With two bedrooms and living spaces on the main level, a second floor loft space can convert from office or studio to a third bedroom. Set in a densely wooded site, the project preserves the surrounding forest while optimizing solar gains through well-placed, dramatic glazing throughout.
